The Medio Tiempo leaf is actually two extra leaves that grow on the very top of the tobacco plant. This leaf is quite rare, as only about 10% of tobacco plants produce these additional leaves. With their exceptional exposure to sunlight, Medio Tiempo leaves exhibit a strength similar to the Ligero leaf, but they also possess a unique sweetness and complexity that Ligero lacks. These distinctive leaves sprout towards the end of a tobacco plant's life cycle, undergoing an intense photosynthesis process that leads to a concentration of oils, sugars, and various organic compounds. This results in a truly unique taste that sets cigars containing the Medio Tiempo leaf apart from standard offerings, including infused cigars and premium cigars. Notably, this leaf is used in the Cohiba Behike line of cigars, contributing to their creamy Cohiba taste. For aficionados of hand-rolled cigars, the Medio Tiempo is a remarkable component found in some of the finest Cuban cigars. The tobacco used in these cigars originates from farms in the Vuelta Abajo region of the Pinar Del Rio province. This is where Cuban cigar aficionados say the absolute best tobacco in the world comes from. I will have a line of cigars with Medio Tiempo in the blend. These will include sizes BHK 52, BHK 54, BHK 56 as well as the newer BHK 58 size. A Montecristo No2 size Pyramid (6 1/8 X 52) will also be added to the line up. So check us out and give us a try because I guarantee once you see your cigar is legit you will be back again. They're just that dang good.
